Coming from a corporate background working in an analyst and solutions based role, I developed an interest in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) due to my own experiences using it to overcome issues related to dysfunctional family relationships, anxiety and panic attacks. My personal experiences sparked a desire to give back and become part of the solution for other people facing life challenges in this world of increasing demands. An interest in mentoring troubled teens quickly grew to a return to university for post graduate qualifications in foundation mental health practice and certification as a CBT practitioner. I enjoy learning and will continue my post graduate studies in the field of counselling and psychology for many years to come.
Why did I start this site? One of the issues I recall struggling with was sometimes being so overwhelmed by problems and commitments that despite knowing I would benefit from professional support I was simply unable to fit it into my schedule. I muddled through on my own during those times, but it wasn’t easy and quality of life for both myself and my family suffered as a result. My desire in creating this site is to enable other people that similarly face restrictions to still benefit from therapy and support by making it available at a time convenient to them.
